Chapter Philanthropy and Service
“…To prepare for service and learn the nobility of serving, thereby earning the right to be served…”
Our philanthropy, the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation, which supports Breast Cancer Education and Awareness, is something that is very near and dear to our hearts. We have many members whose mothers, grandmothers, aunts, cousins, and friends that have been affected by breast cancer. Due to the personal connection that this cancer has on many people, we have a strong motivation to raise money and help end the war against breast cancer. Through our passion and commitment to our philanthropy, we hope to help in the slowing and eventual ending of breast cancer.
In our first annual Race for the Ribbon event we had over 40 runners participating, including several Breast Cancer Survivors. It is always an amazing event, and we cannot wait for the years to come!
Our other annual spring philanthropy event, A Night of Pink, is always such an amazing success. Thank you to everyone who showed up and supported us and our cause. We were able to raise almost $5,000 for Breast Cancer Education and Awareness.
At the 2018 Zeta Tau Alpha Convention, we were awarded Founders Club at the $10,000 level, meaning that we raised at least $10,000 in the past two years towards our Philanthropy!
